Friends & Family

Today we had play date heaven at the Carney house.  In the morning the Kilners came over and Lucy, Joey & Liam had a blast together. Then Aunt Monica & Aunt Suzie showed up for lunch and the party continued until nap time.  After lunch our good buddies James & Rory Miggins came over to play.  Since both hubbies were working late they stayed for dinner.  We had pasta which means only one thing: CLOTHES OFF!!  James & Lucy went wild after dinner running around in their diapers and bouncing off the walls.  soooo much fun!

Ode to Claire

Claire was born in December,
girl number one.

She'd have six younger siblings
whom she found to be great fun.

"Oh come here, my darlings,"

she'd say so sweet.

"Be a dear younger sister
and come kiss my feet."

These young friends and playmates,

she held them so dear

that she made some of her own:
in fact, four in four years.

Bridget and Maggie
followed Collin and Brian.
They brought infinite smiles
amid the bawlin' and cryin'.

As a great mom and great sister
let us extol her.
And today let us cheer,
Happy Birthday, Claire Boler!
