Lucy went to her first major league baseball game this weekend.

Halloween came early to our house...

Dress-up has taken on a whole new level now that Halloween is around the corner. Nana got the girls Tinkerbell costumes and Duck costumes to wear for Halloween. Emma and Sarah are quite taken (or you could say obssessed) about the Tinkerbell dresses. They basically wear them from the moment they wake up in the morning until the time they go to bed. Occasionally, they'll take them off for a while and run around quacking in their Duck outfits.

Here's also a picture of Emma with her favorite stuffed animal, "Big Elmo." You'll notice no Tinkerbell outfit on her in this picture. No, no, she's wearing her other favorite outift: nothing, but underwear. Nice.

Emma's first day of preschool

Emma had her first day of preschool on Monday and she had a wonderful time. We were off to a rocky start, however, because she didn't want to leave the house. She wanted to stay home with Sarah and Grandma and wear her Tinkerbell dress (see other post). It was a challenge getting her out of Tinkerbell and into real clothes, but once she got to school, she had a fantastic time. Here are pictures of our preschooler and our other Tinkerbell on the big day.

Andrew at one week old

Here is Andrew at one week old posing with Emma and Sarah before they went to church on Sunday. You can see he is looking less yellow. He also wore his first "outfit" on Sunday and looked very handsome.

Andrew comes home

We've had a very busy last 10 days and here are some pictures to show you. Andrew came home with us on Labor Day and Emma and Sarah were beyond excited to see him. They didn't get to see him in the hospital because he was in the NICU the whole time. When we brought him home, they wanted to hold him right away. Emma had the biggest proud grin on her face while she was holding him and she kept caressing his face saying "He's beautiful. He's lovely." You can see from these pics that Andrew was still very jaundice (pic with both girls is home from the hospital). Sarah says "Carry. Andrew" when she wants to hold him.

Welcome Andrew Stephen Gabriel!

Andrew Stephen ("Stephen" is after both fathers--Anne's Dad's middle name and Alex's Dad's first name) made his appearance at 12:14 am on September 1st (2 weeks early!) He was 9 lbs 6 oz 21.5 inches long. Anne went into labor last night and had a c-section.

Mom & baby are both doing well. However, Andrew is in the NICU for the time being-- he swallowed fluid during delivery and was breathing a little too quickly as a result. But he is a big, healthy baby is going to be fine! They expect he'll be in the regular nursery soon. More pictures HERE.
