Beautiful Day!

We went down to Georgetown yesterday to meet Caroline and Craig Iannucci for brunch. Before we left, Alex took pictures of us in the front yard. The girls are picking dandelions and blowing the seeds everywhere (their favorite springtime activity!)

We haven't posted in a while...

Emma is now sleeping in a big girl bed and the kids love reading books in there. Note the picture with Alex, Sarah and Emma on the bed--Emma is picking the "goobers" from her toes (one of her favorite pasttimes).

Sarah always has a smile on her face and is always making us laugh. Here's a pictures of her with a mixing bowl on her head that she is calling a hat.

The pink dress that Emma is wearing is actually a christening gown for a baby. They're usually really long for a newborn, but here's what it looks like on a 3 year old. She found it hanging in her closet and insisted on wearing it and it actually fits (kind of!).

We have a monkey in the house!

Here are pictures of Sarah, our monkey, "playing" with her toy car. She showed Emma how to climb on top of it...nice!

If its too far for you to drive out to Father Searby's parish every Sunday to listen to his great homilies, than this is the next best thing. I am so excited that he is doing this.

Also, Pete Searby's fabulous "blues, gospel, country, jazz, ragtime, old timey, and folk music" can be bought via iTunes or off his website: http://www.petesearby.com/

Hello!

Joey is a big fan of Elmo and "Cookie"

Award Winning Author!

Congratulations Tim!

Laissez Faire Books is pleased to award the fourth annual Lysander Spooner Award for Advancing the Literature of Liberty to Timothy P. Carney for the best book on liberty for 2006. The award is for his book, The Big Ripoff: How Big Business and Big Government Steal Your Money. ...

Carney takes a look at the relationship between government and big business and shows just how tight-knit the two groups are. He reveals a deadly combination of power-hungry politicians and obliging CEOs, working together to the detriment of consumers, taxpayers, and entrepreneurs.

But who's really to blame? Carney offers a unique look at big business—and he shows how it's grown increasingly difficult for big business to avoid politics.
