Baby Carney

Baby Carney wouldn't cooperate this morning during the sonogram so we still don't the know the sex. We are scheduled for another sonogram on July 10th, so hopefully our little trouble maker will behave properly.

But the good news everything looks healthy and "normal size".

Suzanne graduated June 15th from McLean Highschool--Congratulations Suzanne! After the ceremony she and some of the family celebrated at the Olive Garden and Suzanne will be going to her All Night Grad Party at Dave&Busters tonight.

Joey's latest tricks include clapping, pulling himself up on his "Elmo Sing and Teach" table and standing by himself for about 2 seconds!!!

Claire & Kevin graciously lent Mom & Dad their adorable little boys for the weekend so they could enjoy a weekend at the beach. The weekend turned out to be a blast for everyone, especially all 5 grandchildren who got to hang with their cousins all weekend.

Brian and Collin are Famous

My latest column deals with political corruption and a recent case in which a Congressman allegedly took some bribes to help get a subsidy for a friend's company. I use Brian and Collin Boler to make a point:

Two of my nephews on my wife's side are adorable twin boys who are also amazingly mischievous. They will slam, push, throw, and climb anything they can--often working as a team to topple the larger items. My sister-in-law has done everything in her power to correct their behavior, but give the boys just a moment alone with a floor lamp and lampshades will be flying and cords will swing wildly. The only remedy was to remove everything from the living room that these boys could possibly move.

As a fireplace poker is to an 18-month-old boy, so is a federal subsidy program to a politician. No good can come from leaving it in his reach; it's possible he might do no harm with it; but leave the two in the same room long enough--and you're asking for trouble.

Another Boler Baby!

Claire & Kevin are proud to announce they are expecting their 3rd child. (Yes, only one this time!) Claire is 10 weeks pregnant with the wee one. Her due date is January 5th, but the doctor has decide to do a scheduled c-section the week after Christmas.

Brian & Collin are very excited about being big brothers.

Suzanne received the MVP award for Cross Country. And she also received an "Angus Award" for being an "iron athlete". Suzanne has over 8 Varsity letters.

Say A Little Prayer

This is a big week for Suzanne. It is her last week in high school, and she has a ton of exams to study for and take. So keep her in your prayers.


She also had her final prom this past weekend! Hopefully we will get some pictures of that soon.

This has been a very exciting week. Lots of babies. Our good friends Celina & Joe welcomed their second son, Ian, into the world on Monday. Nicole & Colin also welcomed their second son, August "Gus" Alexander, on Friday evening. And Kathleen & Phil welcomed their first born, a daughter named Charlotte, on Saturday evening.

Tom Royals (the younger) became engaged to his beautiful girlfriend, now fiancee, Kaki on Saturday evening. And Mom & Dad flew out to Seattle, WA to become the godparents of our cousin Shane's new son Ryan.
