We celebrated Halloween and Anne's Birthday at Peggy and Steve's on Tuesday. Peggy cooked a delicious meal (as always!) and Alex and Anne took the girls trick-or-treating for the first time around the neighborhood. When other trick-or-treaters first came to Grandma and Grandpa's house, Emma was so excited to see the other kids that she kept saying "Come in, come on in!" We had to hurry out to trick-or-treat soon after. Not to get candy, mind you, but to "see the kids", as Emma kept saying over and over. Emma doesn't even know what candy is. We call them "special treats" and we carried her purse around and gathered special treats. Whenever we went to a door, we reminded her to say "trick-or-treat", but what Emma really said was "Where are the kids?" That is all she cared about was seeing other kids. Unfortunately, Welcome Drive is not the kid haven it once was and we only saw about 5 other kids total. Nevertheless, Emma and Sarah had fun walking around, looking at the moon and looking for other kids. P.S. One of the pictures of Sarah, the dragon, was taken at an earlier Halloween party this month.
